Coburg NORM Warehouse Beginner Woodworking Course

Over 8 sessions (4 hours each), you'll gain the skills and knowledge to handcraft your own unique project under the guidance of expert instructors in a small group setting (4 students). No prior experience is necessary, just a passion for creating!

Here's what you need to know:
Term 2 2026 Course Schedule: Term 2 2026 dates will be confirmed some time in March 2026. Please join the waitlist to stay in touch.
Limited Availability: Enroll now to secure your spot or if already sold out, join our waitlist for future terms when they are open for signups.
Bring Your Own Timber: We will guide you through the process of sourcing and selecting your timber from local timber yards. A limited amount of timber may be available on-site for very small projects and may be free or for a fee.
Everything Else Provided: You'll have access to a dedicated workbench with a vice, all necessary tools and equipment, consumables, and a limited range of finishing options. We encourage you to bring your own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) if preferred, although it will also be available during class.
Additional Information:
Shared Space: The NORM maker space will be shared with residents and casual makers during class hours.
Lathe & Carving: Usage of the wood lathe and wood carving are currently restricted.
Strict Cancellation Policy: No refunds are available.
NORM Space Access: Unless you have a separate casual pass from NORM, space usage is limited to class times.
Dedicated Workbench: Ample space and tools for each student.
Wood Lathe Restricted: Limited availability based on tutor schedule.
